Privacy Policy

Pets Corner is currently in a closed beta and is not yet a registered business entity. No payments are collected. This policy covers how we handle personal information during this testing phase.
Who we are
Pets Corner is a pet community platform in development, targeting the Philippines. We are currently in a closed beta phase. You can reach us at admin@petscorner.site.
What we collect
Waitlist sign-ups: Name, email address, country, optional phone number, and any message you include.
App accounts: Email address, password (hashed by Firebase Auth, we never see it in plain text), and display name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google.
Pet profiles: Name, species, breed, gender, status, description, and photos you upload.
Community content: Posts, comments, and replies you write inside communities, and which communities you join.
Technical data: IP address (used only for rate limiting and bot prevention, stored as a one-way hash) and standard server logs (request timestamps, error traces).
How we use it
We use your information to operate the platform: letting you sign in, display your pet profiles, match you with other pet owners for breeding and playdates, and participate in communities.
Waitlist information is used only to communicate launch updates and early access invitations.
We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Firebase (Google): We use Firebase Auth, Firestore, and Cloud Storage (all operated by Google) to store and serve your data. Google's data processing terms apply.
Vercel: Our hosting provider. They process requests and may log standard server data.
We do not share your data with any other third party. Community posts and pet profiles are visible to other signed-in users of the platform.
How long we keep it
Account data and pet profiles are kept for as long as your account exists. Community posts and comments remain until you delete them or your account is removed. Waitlist entries are kept until you request removal. Rate-limit records are automatically overwritten each hour.
Philippine Data Privacy Act
We process personal data in accordance with Republic Act No. 10173 (Data Privacy Act of 2012). As a personal information controller, we collect only what is necessary, keep it secure, and respect your rights to access, correct, and erasure of your data.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing admin@petscorner.site from the address linked to your account. We will respond within 30 days.
Updates
This policy will be updated as the platform grows. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised date. If changes affect how we use data you have already provided, we will notify you by email where possible.
